The wall is not neutral. Wager treats it as a collaborator -- shadow, depth, and relief become part of the work. These pieces exist in the space between painting and sculpture, belonging fully to neither.

Choices - Inspired by a roulette wheel, this piece incorporates vintage hay rake tines, which were originally utilized to aerate hay prior to baling. She had a long creative life making beautiful tattings which adorned numerous cloth items. She had a grateful, most alert mind well into her 90’s.
